I’ve got a NEW Free Training Report and a 50% discount offer for you; all I ask in exchange is your feedback on what pressure feels like and how it affects your ability to perform!
I don’t know about you but I’ve rather been enjoying the “lock-downs”. I don’t wish to make light of the current situation and fully understand there are many people suffering, however it has meant a big opportunity to spend more time with oneself and perhaps to use that time to develop a plan for personal development which includes daily practice and training.
Why do I distinguish between the two?
Well, it’s just how I approach my own life and you might find it useful.
For me, a practice is about a daily effort towards stillness and to this end I’m using traditional Zazen meditation which is the Soto Zen Buddhist way of following the breathing. I try to sit first thing each morning for 30-40 minutes. It’s not about achieving anything but enjoying the process and the journey.
Training on the other hand is slightly different and spans a few different categories.
Personally these enforced times of solitude have given me the ability to reappraise my training, specifically my aims and intentions for doing various activities.
For instance mid to late morning is my time to either practice Tai Chi and various associated exercises like softening and fascia stretching, standing practice and chi kung OR it’s when I head out to the country lanes on my bike OR get my dumbbells out and do some circuit training.
Late afternoon I’m usually stretching and having to do more of this ‘body maintenance’ as the years roll by!
So this is my training regime and it’s all about staying healthy, lean, strong and flexible and making sure I’ve got plenty of stamina.
All of this training is invaluable for golf and sports performance and is available in my online Shop here and as it’s CHRISTMAS I’m inviting you to get whatever you like for HALF-PRICE. All you need do is enter the coupon code chi50
I’ve also put together a NEW Training Report – ’10 Keys to Performing Under Pressure; simply sign-up for the newsletter on my Homepage and I’ll send you a copy!
Let me have your feedback please
I’m also using this time to WRITE and am working hard on a number of ground-breaking products for you including an eBook/audio programme called 12 KEYS TO MASTERING HIGH-PRESSURE MOMENTS IN SPORT. This will be ready for you early in the New Year but first I’d like your input please.
Can you let me know what challenges you’re facing when it comes to playing the sport you love in competitive situations, especially during those special yet intense moments when it’s make or break.
For instance maybe your issue is that you think too much, become hesitant or even the opposite and you start rushing through your preparation? Is it anxiety that holds you back or are you too self-conscious?
Maybe you have trouble controlling the adrenaline or your muscles tighten or it disrupts your hand-eye coordination?
I’d be really grateful if you could let me know WHAT PRESSURE FEELS LIKE for you and how it affects your ability to move your body freely and naturally in the way you can when nobody’s watching!
Please email jayne@chi-performance.com and your feedback will land in my inbox; thank you.
Happy training!
Jayne
P.S. A few sentences or a short paragraph will suffice and your feedback will help me put together the best and most definitive guide to helping you overcome nerves and mental interference and perform at your best in all competitive sport situations.
I’ll also send you a free bonus as a “thank you” for your help.
